If you’re picking the equipment up yourself, we’ll just need your name and phone number for the reservation – no payment is required unless it’s an in-demand equipment item requiring a deposit. For in-demand equipment such as excavators, mini loaders, bobcats, scissor lifts and cherry pickers, we take a $100 deposit at booking:

Entry to our yard is via Trade Place. Our hire periods are:
At the counter, we’ll ask to see your current, physical driver’s license, get your phone number and email address, ask how long you’d like to hire the equipment, and take payment for the hire and deposit on a credit or debit card. We automatically give you the best possible hire rate available. Then we’ll show you that the equipment is in good working condition and demonstrate how to use it. We’ll email you the signed hire schedule as well as safety and operating documents, and the equipment is yours to use!
If you have any issues with the equipment, please call us immediately on 9874 8444. No question is too silly, no issue too small. You’ll have a better hire experience, and we can help ensure the equipment is being used as it’s meant to. If you hire over the weekend, the on-hire email contains an after-hours number that you can call with any equipment issues.
Hire charges stop when you return the equipment with all attachments and tools to our store. On return, we unload the equipment and check for damage. If you hired large (metered) equipment, sanding equipment or equipment with diamond blades, we check that the hours or diamond wear are within the free amount included in the hire, and record what diesel, petrol or sandpaper has been used, using the deposit to offset any such charges before refunding the remaining deposit. If you’ve had the equipment for longer than it was paid for, we use the deposit to offset the outstanding amount and refund the remaining deposit or take further payment as required. If you returned the equipment within 4 ½ hours (we give you ½ an hour extra) we refund the 4-hour discount and the deposit. Deposits are refunded using the same method by which payment was made, so once you’re unloaded, you’ll need to present the same credit/debit card at the counter so we can process the refund. We then email you your tax invoice.
Remember, 5% from each hire automatically accrues as loyalty rewards, which is applied as a loyalty reward discount on your next hire within 6 months. Find out more including T&C’s here.
